Defying the experts: Why they were wrong about everything by Russell L. Blaylock, MD

What just happened in the 2016 presidential election in many ways was unprecedented and in other ways was expected by keen observers and deep thinkers. Fox News interviewed a university pollster who admitted that all the pollsters, all the political analysts and all the political pundits, were wrong. The only ones who were correct were Professor Helmut Norpoth of Stony Brook University, who was 99% certain that Trump would win, and Anonymous, who also predicted a Trump landslide. A number of us were convinced that Trump was going to win and we used completely different indicators to come to that conclusion.

When Nigel Farage was asked about Trump’s chances, he told the interviewer that he was convinced that Trump would win for the same reason Brexit won against incredible odds. He reminded viewers that even up to the moment of the vote all of Britain’s most astute pollsters and political analysts were stating that Brexit would lose by a wide margin and that they were astounded when the opposite happened. The key Mr. Farage said was that millions of people who had never voted for anything in their life voted for the first time. They voted because he was able to convince them that Britain should make its own decisions as a sovereign nation and that Britain’s problem with mass immigration was the direct result of control by the EU. British pollsters, like their American counterparts, usually base their results on polling people that are “likely voters” — that is, people that vote in most elections. They had no way to feel the pulse of those who do not answer their phones and who have never voted before.

Trump was engineered into the position of the chosen Republican candidate, according to many insiders, by the Democrats, who were convinced that it would be easy for Hillary to defeat him. It is a principle of war to never underestimate your enemy — they paid dearly for ignoring that wise advice. The media donated over 3 million dollars of free exposure to Trump, confident that he would show himself as a buffoon and expose himself to easy ridicule. They literally pushed and guided him to a leading position in the Republican Party lineup.

The media were convinced that once they engineered Trump into the position of a leading candidate they could then destroy him by their combined assault on his character and his inexperience. As the election neared it became known, mainly by Wikileaks exposures, that all the media networks and major newspapers were working together, sharing information and tactics against Trump, to engineer his eventual demise. To the left, it all seemed fool proof. They used every dirty trick in the collectivist political playbook — labeling him as a racist, an Islamophobe, a homophobe, and a hater of women. This had always worked in the past. For a great many of the usual Democratic voters, it was quite effective.

Then the media sprung the dirty language tape from 20 years ago, mainly to convince women he was a male chauvinist and to convince Christians that he was morally unfit for such an important office. They knew that the Christian vote had always been critical for the Republicans. It seemed to be working, as many Christian groups convinced their followers not to vote. In connection with the dirty talk on the bus tape, they then lined up a number of women who were willing to claim Trump assaulted them sexually. That began to crumble with the woman on the plane, who claimed he groped her. Unfortunately for the Democratic left, a witness who sat across from Trump and his accuser on the flight testified that it was all a lie. And when Trump said he would sue them all, his accusers began to run scared. The Democrats managed to dig up a woman who claimed he raped her as a child. But when she apparently realized that Trump would take her to court and she would then be under oath and under a threat of perjury — she admitted she made it all up.

What helped Trump was that with each charge from the DNC came a bundle of Wikileaks emails showing the criminal activity of the Clintons and the DNC itself. The VERITAS tapes had a tremendous impact as they demonstrated irrefutably that the Clinton campaign had hired thugs to assault people at Trump rallies and a number of other dirty tricks. These disclosures also exposed the fact that people had to be paid to attend Hillary’s rallies. To those who could think and reason, the FBI investigation was devastating to Hillary. It was obvious that Director Comey was being manipulated to avoid recommending a criminal indictment to the Department of Justice. The U.S. Attorney General, Loretta Lynch, boldly met with Bill Clinton on the tarmac of an airport just before the investigation and then insisted that no charges would be filed, no matter what the investigation found. During examination of the Attorney General under oath, Congressman Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) clearly demonstrated that Attorney General Lynch had decided not to proceed with a criminal indictment no matter what the actual investigation found and had made that decision before the investigation had begun.

The FBI investigation itself was a farce and improperly conducted. A grand jury should have been called, no immunity to the main participants to the events should have been given, and the most obvious thing was that no intent needed to be demonstrated. Further, the fact that Mrs. Clinton purposefully removed the headers for the Top Secret documents, shows intent. Also the fact that she smashed a number of the devices with a hammer, she used an expensive wiping system to clean several of the computers and that two computers were missing completely — all after she received the subpoena for all these devices and emails — clearly spelled intent. As Congressman Jason Chaffetz (R-Utah) stated, there was abundant evidence of intent — all of which was ignored. It was obvious she was guilty of obstruction of justice, destroying evidence, ignoring a court order and many other crimes. The nail in her coffin, to many of those who actually followed the case, was again the Wikileaks emails — something this criminal gang never expected and couldn’t control. The DNC’s claim (as well as Hillary’s) that the Russians were the source of the missing emails was laughable at best, but it was an attempt to ignore the content of the emails themselves — no matter their source.

The Benghazi tragedy should have been sufficient to ruin her chances, but the leftist media had been successful in covering it up and telling a false tale. Far too many Americans not only knew little of the details, but had absolutely no interest in discovering what had actually happened. The worst of the events surrounding Benghazi had been all but totally covered up — that is, that Obama and Hillary Clinton were shipping weapons, including thousands of Stinger missiles, to the terrorists — including ISIS. The reason for the stand down order was to cover the real mission and to do that they needed to eliminate all the witnesses — which included about 35 people. That is why these 30 witnesses were forced to sign nondisclosure agreements and have been not only shielded from the media, but from Congress as well, to this very day. This activity by Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama is beyond all doubt — treason. Many Americans, those concerned with Benghazi, appreciated that these weapon transfers resulted in the death of hundreds of thousands of people in the Middle East, including over 100,000 Christians. Another foreign policy factor that I think convinced voters that Hillary was dangerous, was her endorsement of the Iranian deal, which provided the terrorist government of Iran with 151.7 billion dollars to use for military purposes and to build nuclear missiles unimpeded. And many knew that she lied during the debate about her support of the Transpacific Partnership (TPP). Even her supporters recognized that she was a serial liar.

Julian Assange and Anonymous then released information about the Lolita express and “Orgy Island” — the Jeffery Epstein haven for underage sex (and sex slavery) for the wealthy and famous. This mainly came through Anonymous, which was working with Assange. Trump did not use this information, but rather recounted the sexual crimes of Bill Clinton. By collecting a number of the women Bill Clinton sexually assaulted and allowing them to tell their own story, especially that Hillary was the attack dog for Bill, resonated with a number of women. Hillary plea bargaining a child rapist and then laughing about points of the case years later also hit close to home for many women.

Domestically, Trump’s program of returning manufacturing jobs to America, reducing regulations and cutting the tax rate to 15% had a huge impact among middle class Americans. He was also cleaver in attacking the Affordable Care Act and telling the stories of millions of American’s whose lives were ruined by this socialist legislation. Ironically, Trump became the symbol for the anti-establishment and Hillary became the symbol for cronyism, secret deals, crafted lying, and the person who played a major role in “fixing the system.” It became obvious that the multinational corporations, international bankers, and other billionaires (such as George Soros) were behind Hillary as the designers of the New World Order, which a Trump presidency could endanger.

One of the most incredible and brilliant parts of the Trump campaign was his appeal to the black voters — which the Republican Party has always written off. By demonstrating to them that the Democrats go through this endless cycle of grandiose promises during elections, only to totally ignore the fate of the black communities in the interim, really resonated with the black voters. Dinesh D’Souza also set the tone by demonstrating to the blacks that they were being used by the Democrats who in reality could care less about their lives. They treated the blacks as mere ignorant children who needed the white liberal/leftist to make decisions for them and care for them as political slaves — a grand insult to their intelligence.

Another sore spot in the American psyche was political correctness, which the left has shoved down our throats for over four decades. We are told what words we are allowed to use, what jokes we can tell (or even laugh at), how racial groups are to be labeled and now new gender neutrality language is presented to the public, and we are expected to comply as mindless sheep. Most people are fed up with this constant dictation by the left and Trump exposed it for what it really was — thought control — straight out of 1984.

The insanity of the left was everywhere — constantly telling us that we were subliminal racists, homophobic and Islamophobic, trying to designate bathrooms as gender neutral and that all white people should carry a shroud of shame for being white and privileged. If that were not enough, they then insisted that we provide black people and Islamic immigrants with a “safe space.” It was as if the inmates in an insane asylum had taken over our society. There was no end to the craziness that was becoming federal policy. Those of us who actually read history immediately saw a parallel to events during the French Revolution, absent the lopping of heads. Trump announced an end to the craziness and most American breathed a sigh of relief — finally someone, a leader, was listening.

I think the Trump victory came for several reasons. First, the left, feeling their power was rushing headlong at an accelerating speed with numerous extremist programs were attempting to totally dismantle all that most Americans held dear. The frog was being thrown directly into a boiling pot of water. Most Americans were shocked by all this insanity from the left and began to appreciate that what Obama promised at the beginning of his presidency was indeed happening — America was being fundamentally changed and it was not for the better.

Second, the public also began to realize that security was of no concern to the left — either from mass illegal immigration from our southern border or from tens of thousands of Syrians and others pouring into our country from terrorist nations. ISIS and other terrorist organizations announced that they intended to kill mass numbers of Americans by using these immigrants and they were making good on their promises. This had no effect on the liberal left — they wanted no immigration restrictions and no vetting of immigrants. The left was bending over backward covering for the Islamic radicals and even promoting the Islamic faith in our institutions and schools. Trump made this all quite clear and that he would end this insane policy. He did an excellent job chronicling the cases of decent Americans being murdered by illegal immigrant gang members and career criminals.

Unlike the professional politicians from the Republican Party, Trump knew how to make people see the cost of liberal/left policies in real terms. The pictures he painted with words, of millions of workers out of jobs because factories were overseas, the impact of the welfare state on black ghettos and how it locked them into a state of eternal dependency, and how failed international policies and treaties were destroying the very fabric of America was a stark vision of impending doom. He articulated the beauty of the free market system and how it was the only source of hope for individuals and families to better their lives and the future for their children. And he constructed a vision of the hopelessness that crushing regulations and high taxes would have on people’s future.

By presenting a vast number of these leftist-generated problems at once Trump provided something for many groups of Americans — blacks, Hispanics, Orientals, Caucasians, small businessmen and women, Christians and Jews, and mainly the youth that would have to contend with these devastating problems and a shrinking leftist-dominated economy.  He painted a picture of hope that was based not on pie in the sky illusions crafted in bumper sticker language, but on experience and sound principles that had been tested over the ages.

My father always emphasized to me that “words were cheap” and the Lord says, “you shall know a man by his fruits.” It remains to be seen if President Donald Trump will live up to his promises. If he does — then he may go down in history as one of this nation’s greatest presidents. If not, we will witness a great deal of anger and he will be abandoned.

It is critical at this point that Trump carry out a full investigation of the Clinton’s dealings in the Clinton Foundation and her involvement in the State Department email and Benghazi scandals. The deaths in Iraq under ISIS, the deaths in Syria and Libya, and the deaths at Benghazi demand justice. Obama and members of his administration should be investigated and if they are found guilty, they should be punished to the full extent of the law. Unless President Trump indeed drains the swamp of Clinton/Obama corruption, little will be accomplished in stopping the liberal/leftist juggernaut.
