The Real Horror of Socialism—The Subjugation of the Individual to the Collective by Russell L. Blaylock, MD

The writings of Ludwig von Mises, as well as those of his student, Friedrich Hayek, have pointed to the real evil in socialism that has captured the radical mind—collectivism. We see collectivism expressed today in many disciplines—government, medicine, the military, and economics. The very concept of a “greater good” is a collectivist term. In essence, it implies that we must be willing to sacrifice the individual for the “greater good” of the collective.

Recently, in the concocted “pandemic,” we saw the mantra that we must be willing to let a few die so that others will be “protected.” In essence, even though the younger person, particularly children and babies who were at essentially zero risk for the infection, must be forcefully vaccinated to protect the elderly. This was in spite of the fact that the infection rate, and especially death rate, was infinitesimally small for the age group. What was overlooked was the individual.

We had a saying among the hospital residents that for the individual affected, the incidence was 100%. When a child dies, even though we are told statistically that the collective death rate for children is 0.00034%, for the child getting the vaccine and for the family affected, the death of that child is a personal tragedy and a 100% death rate for their child. The same goes for any loved one.

The example often given is one of a boat carrying young people as well as elderly people. Who should be forced overboard to save the majority? Based on situational ethics, it would be mostly the elderly. We are told the older people should be sacrificed as they have already lived their lives.

My entry in Wikipedia states that I call obvious things “collective.” What we are witnessing is a war on the individual and a move toward collectivism. Both socialism and communism are collective systems. In both, the idea of the individual and the family unit are to be eliminated for the good of the “collective.” They have expressed the idea that a child is to be raised by the collective—namely, the state. If the state has a plan, for example, such as enforcing transexual surgery and hormones, the child can make the decision, independent of the parents, and if the parents refuse to let the child have sexual transition surgery, the child will be removed by the state so that the “state” can help the child make the correct decision for the “greater good” of the collective.

Von Mises and Hayek both viewed socialism as the first stage of the most absolute collectivist system—communism. They also saw both systems as force—that is, compulsion. And that has been the cry of the medical collectivists from the very beginning. The young should be mandated and then forced to take the deadly COVID injection for the good of the collective. The same has been true for the military, many corporations, nursing homes, concert organizers and now  the schools. The individual is not allowed to evaluate the dangers of the injections for himself—no matter their qualification, no matter the evidence arising from scientific and clinical facts, and no matter the studies.

It has been estimated that at least 17 million vaccinated have died and over a billion have been permanently crippled, based on our most accurate records.  Others have proposed that many more will die later as a result of these forced injections. No long-term studies were ever done with this new technology, when it was supposed to be studied for at least 10 years. It was fast tracked—at “warp speed.”

While this bit of collectivism is critical for the world, here in the United States, we are seeing a rise in collectivism in all things, and it is being used to indoctrinate our children in schools. They, as well as the general public, are being taught that the enemy is individualism. The ultimate goal of the elite is collectivism in the form of absolute government control. The dream of socialism is the promise of a coming utopia, if we can only shed individualism. Of course, this includes individualism in the shape of the capitalist system, religious worship, and private property. To the elite, socialism is the only choice to be offered—a collectivist system allowing them to rule. Socialism may be a dream in its promises, but it is definitely a nightmare in reality—a non-ending nightmare. Like a poor donkey chasing after a carrot on a stick, it is the promise that keeps him moving in the direction desired.

Thomas Molnar’s book, Utopia: The Perennial Heresy, makes it quite plain that the promise of a coming utopia is still used by the totalitarians today because it creates a useful dream for what quickly becomes an eventual nightmare. The youth are especially taken in by the dream since they have not read the history of such movements. As one author put it “They have not read the last minutes of the meeting.”

Dr. Miguel Faria’s latest book, Stalin, Mao and Communism, shows in great detail that this utopic dream is truly a nightmare. The important lesson we learn from this valuable book is that “Like Saturn, the revolution devours its children.” Communism, regardless of where it has existed or still exists in the world today, eventually it devours those who either brought it about or helped it reach fruition. Communism always creates a nation of eternal, fear-gripping collectivism for all of those entrapped.
